A taste of Thanet

Do you like food?

Do you like Kent?

Do you like democracy?

If the answer to these questions is yes (or even if the answer to question three is a cautiously agnostic “well, I suppose it’s the best system we’ve got”) then today is your lucky day because you can combine all three of your interests by voting on Kentish food. It doesn’t get much better than this does it?

All you need to do is pop over to the Taste of Kent Awards website and click the big ‘Vote Now’ button. Oh, and then there’s a rather intimidating disclaimer that you have to agree to which makes it all look a bit more totalitarian than democratic.

But after all that, there’s lots of categories you can vote in. You could probably spend all day voting if that’s what you’re in to. We voted for Age and Sons in the Best Restaurant category but don’t forget Eddie Gilberts and the Ambrette too. There’s Best Food Producer, Best Farmers Market and so on. It’s all a bit X-Factor really in that you choose which vegetables win.

Just remember: vote Thanet.
