We should probably start this post with something involving the phrase ‘the eagle-eyed among you’. But we’re going to assume that no one really cares that much to notice changes we make to the site… and then we’re going to tell you about them anyway.
So, we’ve taken down the ads that tarnished the pages of IsleOne, replacing them with recent comments made by you. We’d like to pretend that we’ve done this for noble reasons but in fact it’s a tacit acknowledgement of our failure to persuade the businesses of Thanet to embrace online advertising. Instead of the ads, there’s a new ‘You Reckon’ section, featuring the latest wisdom to be added to the site by the people of Thanet. God help us.
One thing to note: owing to space constraints, only the first 100 characters of a comment display. A prize to the first person to write a seemingly innocent comment that gets cropped in a choice place, resulting in a rude word.
We’re looking for humorous amputations.

Your site is fine. What isn’t is the absurd idea to paint the lighthouse on Margate Harbour red & white. Those are the colours of Ramsgate FC. The lighthouse ought to be painted blue & white in honour of Margate FC .
