From your reply it would seem that you have little acquaintance with a good public school, so you may forgive me if I remain sceptical. A life where one has not found his place is one filled with discontent.

Nanny has just chided me for my inelegant tone, she may on this occasion be correct.

Perhaps one speaks too freely, but Broadstairs was built on Victorian values. Authority, hierarchy, discipline and accepting one’s position in life. Without that we would have anarchy, or worse, socialism.

Good point about Ramsgate, LO. That’s the thing about supermarkets – once they open a store in one town, they generally don’t bother opening any more…

oh look at all the Broadies getting all excited about the possibility of a Waitrose opening in Broadstairs. There is no chance of this, wake up. There is already a well established one in Ramsgate. Which all the middle classes from Broadstairs flock to in their 4X4′s with no thought for the local shops or the environment. I really do hope its a McDonalds or a Lidl or maybe a mobile phone unlocking shop, run by a shady gentleman of middle eastern decent.
You’re all so middle class it must hurt.
