Broadstairs Food Festival
The third Broadstairs Food Festival kicks off on Friday 30th September with its three day Food Fayre on Victoria Gardens, Broadstairs. Stalls are open from 10am till 6.30pm on the Friday and Saturday, closing at 4pm on the Sunday.
The Food Festival had slightly mixed reviews last year but still attracted 21,000 visitors according to the organisers. This year promises to be bigger and better, with more stall holders and the addition of a Broadstairs Food Trail designed to encourage people to visit some of the many eateries based in the town.
The festival aims to promote locally grown produce, emphasising real ale, homemade cakes, rare breed meats. Most of the stall holders are based in or near Thanet and it’s noticeable that there are more local restaurants and cafes with stalls this year than last.
Cookery Demonstrations
Television cheffery has turned cooking into the new rock and roll. ‘The Kitchen Theatre’ at the festival provides several cookery demonstrations daily from local mega-star Dev Biswal from The Ambrette to newcomers like Trevor Evans from Aqua 43.
Broadstairs Food Trail
The Broadstairs Food Trail is essentially a list of most of the restaurants and cafes in Broadstairs. Quality varies, as you might expect, but one place you absolutely should check out is Oscar’s Festival Cafe on Oscar Road. It’s a minute from Victoria Gardens and serves excellent local produce all year round.

With good quality food and a fantastic play are for children aged 0-8. It is planning a few activities with the food festival this year.
Please could you tell me how I can get a full programe of all the times & people that are going to be doing the kitchen theatre over the 3 days.
Thank you very much.
