Anybody old enough to remember the Likely Lads? It was probably cutting-edge comedy of its time, something like The Inbetweeners or Rising Damp.
Anyhow, that’s got nothing to do with this. Rodney Bewes, who was once in the Likely Lads, has been touring Britain for the last three years doing a one-man version of Three Men in a Boat. Huh? Surely there’s something fundamentally flawed in the very concept. However, despite the discrepancy in the number of men, he has got a boat – though apparently it’s not the same boat as he started with.
Stop rambling, get to the point. You can see Bewes and his boat at the Sarah Thorne Theatre on Sunday 10th October. Check out the website for details.
