Old Lookout Gallery

The Old Lookout was built in the late 18th Century. It was used to spot boats in trouble as well as vessels coming and going from the harbour.

For the past two summers, the Old Lookout has also been used by Canterbury Christ Church University’s Broadstairs Campus as a gallery. Throughout the summer there are various free weekly exhibitions. Many are curated by undergraduates studying photography and the arts at Christ Church University, but also artists from the local area are welcomed to request a week’s residency.

All exhibitions are free of charge and you’re guaranteed a warm and very relaxed welcome.
