Salon Bohemia – salon, boutique hotel, and scene of Thanet’s most eagerly anticipated opening – has been hit by allegations that its owner is planning to launch it as a pole-dancing club.
A passing resident, intrigued by its sophisticated exterior, was peering in through the Salon’s decadent black curtains hoping to glimpse something of its sensuous interior only to see a pole in the middle of the room. Adding two and two together and coming up with sixty-nine, the voyeur (because, let’s be fair, they were peering through someone’s windows hoping to get a peek) assumed that the pole was for the purposes of pole-dancing.
As the more intellectually advanced of you might have guessed from the photo of the pole, it was in fact supporting the ceiling rather than any half-naked girls. Although it was reported that one of the larger builders was displaying an indecent amount of cleft.
Broadstairs still awaits its first pole-dancing club.
