Thanet cafe closes for lunch

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

Rumours are reaching us that there is a cafe in Thanet that closes for lunch. That’s right, that’s what we just said, a cafe that closes for lunch.

Can anyone confirm this or, just as good, offer some unsubstantiated speculation which we can pass off as proof?

Anyhow, if you’re looking for something to do this weekend apart from tracking down a cafe that closes when people are most likely to want feeding, you could try the Bleak House music festival in Broadstairs or the Summer Squall festival in Ramsgate.

You’re such a rumour monger isleone, where did you hear about that?

  2. isleone says:

I’m afraid we can’t disclose our sources.

A bunch of us turned up at the crazy golf place in Broadstairs today with five kids who all went off to play. The adults, however, couldn’t even have a cup of tea “because it’s after 5pm”.

There’s too much of that kind of nonsense in Thanet and I suspect this rumour stems from a joke someone made after encountering a similarly daft practice at a local establishment.

We don’t think the fact that it’s a rumour should deter us from trying to find where it is.
