Thanet horrors

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

Thanet film-makers scooped a number of prizes at the 2 Days Later film festival held in the Theatre Royal Margate this weekend. Although the judge’s choice for best film was won by a Romsey couple for A Boy’s Best Friend, Thanet horror-meisters pulled in a stack of nominations and several awards.

Broadstairs director Mark Gregory’s film Mind the Gap won Best Sound and Best Actor. Oliver Case, from Ramsgate, won the Best Actress award for his film Therapy – thanks to his own mother who was the actress in question.

Pictured are Mark Gregory with the tournament organisers, and a zombie who has wandered in from one of the sets clutching a red bag.
