Wahoo! Free dog-waste bags!
Thanet Council is running an anti-litter campaign called ‘Lily Loves…’ featuring Lily, an eight year old with mild OCD, who wants a cleaner Thanet. And you can help Lily achieve her dream because the council is looking to get local businesses and people involved by asking them to display posters and provide those magical dog dirt bags to anyone who needs one.
So if you’ve ever moaned about litter on the street, rubbish on the beach, or you’ve ever cursed a dog owner, now is your chance to do something about it. Contact the council via lucy.tuson@thanet.gov.uk or call 01843 577169.

Anyone know where I can claim my free dog dirt bags?
Enforced dog nappies might be a more effective solution round our way…
You need to call the council or get a local business to stock them.
Dog nappies are the future. Surely a winner on Dragons’ Den.
I originally read this as a Thanet cleaner. What a good idea that would be.
I think it’s Lily – she’s going round the area doing general tidying up on a daily basis.
Free dog bags. Hang on a minute, isn’t that what all us dog owners did with the plastic bags we used to get from the supermarkets and which were used several times over?
I’m not sure about the hygiene aspect of using dog dirt bags several times over – like a bag for life.
Im going to be running some beach clean projects through our surf school at Joss bay and was wondering if I could use this image? : )
