This is Margate photo competition

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

TDC are running a photo competition as part of the preparations for the opening of the Turner Contemporary next year. Photos entered into the competition will form a library of images to help promote Margate. It’s a fine project and a chance for everyone to be involved in promoting their town. And, better than that, there’s 500 quid in vouchers to the winner.

Now, before you all start moaning about where did TDC find 500 quid for a photo competition when they can’t even pay someone to empty my bins properly, just remember that um, well, actually that is quite a good point…

Never mind. We think the photo accompanying this post is a winner (though that doesn’t mean we’re going to pay £500 to the photographer). If you’ve got a better one that sums up Margate but you just know won’t win the competition, let us have it.

And if you’ve got a proper photo, then you can find out more about how to win the magical 500 quid from the This is Margate website. The competition closes on 26th November. Get in there.
